Today myself and a colleague heard a rumor that there were in stock and called at the same time. She ordered one and I was told there was none in stock - obviously I knew this was not the case and eventually I was told that higher tier customers get priority.
I cant help feeling that being encouraged to call back for a handset that customer service currently has no intention of providing me with is disrespecting my time and trust. If not all o2 customers are equal just say so, I'm happy to wait for a phone I'm just not happy to be lied to.
I cant wait to get the phone but for now I think it's time to cancel my measly lower tier £20 a month contract and wait for a more reputable company to be able to provide it.

Made sense to me. I'm disappointed that I'm not classed as one of the higher tiers but I understand why. I'm more than happy to wait. It's only a phone after all, and I've already got a perfectly good one that will do just fine for now.
It might hopefully work in my favour though - I'm going to wait for the white one and get that. Then I'll see if anyone with a black one who was too impatient or desperate to wait for the white one will trade theirs for mine, with a little bit of cash thrown in on top... I figure that if some people were desperate enough to queue from 5am on launch day and blindly stump up the cash, just so they could have the iPhone 4, then a percentage of those people really wanted the white one, and so would be prepared to do the swap... I'm not bothered what colour I get. It's going in a case anyway.

I've never had an iphone before (It was going to be a birthday treat) so I dont even know what I'm missing yet.
You're missing a lot of things that have been around for years and years, but that Apple have managed to fiddle with a little bit and call "revolutionary"...

Seriously though, I've had a 3G and 3GS and I liked them - not to the extent that I worship Apple, as some people on here seem to do, but I thought that they were good devices. I'm going to get the iPhone 4 because I want to use it for a few months to see what it's like - there are so many other phones out there now that are just as capable. If I don't get on with the new iPhone, I'll just sell it!

at £45 a month i thought id be 1 of the higher tier users, silver or gold maybe??
but no luck with them for me.
luckily ive just walked out of phones 4 u with 1 now.
the most annoying thing about all this that i experienced was, yes,i kept checking the website, but all the stores that supposedly had stock at the time, wouldnt answer the phones.
now that really annoyed me!!!! :robotmad: :robotmad: :robotmad:
