custom message alert

Is it possible to change text message alert tone on lumia 1020 to a custom ring tone .

Never saw that thread, but the OP changed horses in mid-stream in that one. First it was about charging, then ringtones. In any event, I found a link. Don't know why he never found it when I found it so easily.

Hi Bambino ,it took me about 59 seconds to find that thread 😎.But it doesn't tell you how to change text message alert to a custom ringtone. That's why i went to community.

Well you never said in your first post that you had looked at that link, and as I didn't have my crystal ball with me, it looked like the Nokia site would be the logical place to look for a solution. As MI5 has said, it seems that you won't be able to do what you want to do until an update is available, so you'll just have to wait.
