hi just wondering if anyone knows if o2 will credit check me when i upgrade on thursday , ive got 2 accounts with o2 an never miss a payment but i do have bad credit elsewere an its been a while since i 1st got my iphone , the guy at phones for u said they wont just worried that ill pay £200 to pay off contract trade my iphone in then will be without a phone lol im sure im just worrying as iv upgraded before with orange an they just send u a phone no re checks ...

Every upgrade is subject to a credit check, it's in the terms and conditions. O2 are very particular of this especially if you have more than one account with them and sometimes refer it to customer services.

My ex had bad credit and he had to pay a deposit with O2 when he upgraded to the iPhone last July

well if they take £200 off me then decline me for a new contract i wont be happy at all

I haven't heard anything about an upgrade having a credit check...yes if we add another account onto yours then you will have one but not at upgrade. at least that's what i've been told by colleagues at work...

just called o2 and there is no credit check phew lol hate the bloody things even with good credit are hard to pass theese days

There is never a credit check on upgrades, glad you found the correct info out Adam. slight_smile

if you have reserved one they take it form allocated stock and put it aside for you so don't worry there is also 2 queues one for people that walk in and the other for the people that have reserved call your store ensure your name is on the reserved list to make sure u have one when u go to pick it up...
