Resolved! Can I still use 3G on my phone?

I've a Samsung Galaxy S3 (not a 4G device) and have just upgraded my contract. My tariff includes 4G, but 3G isn't mentioned. Can I still use 3G on my non-4G phone? Thanks.

I hope this hasn't been discussed somewhere else. I migrated my email to gmail when the notice for O2 arrived that it would be closing down on 20.6.16. However while there doesn't seem to be a web based access point on o2 anymore i am still receiving...
