Wildfire settings-someone please help

Anonymous

I have got a HTC Wildfire on o2. I wanted the internet and mms settings for this phone but o2 don't support it and after speaking to o2 and not getting anywhere I went straight to HTC to get the settings . They emailed me the settings but it didn't work. I've since tried settings for other HTC phones but again nothing is working. I pay £20 per month sim only to o2 and if I can't get this working soon then t-mobile or orange are beginning to look good. Please help me sort this out someone I'm beginning to lose patience now. Hello All
Looks to me as if the problem might be something else. I recognise those error messages.
Try this before pulling your hair out ...
.. make sure you have set the phone to use both mobile data services AND WiFi in the "Wireless & networks" Settings (you'll see a warning about it costing money to web-browse if using your data allowance etc)
Turn Off WiFi ...
... and then try sending your MMS again.
When I got my Wildfire this caused me problems and turning off the WiFi cures it!
Hope that helps!

Hey, I've also got the Wildfire, and after some trouble, I got it connecting to the o2 mobile web.
Just to confirm, those settings posted by jrichmond are correct!
Although they only worked for me when the username was 'O2web' with an uppercase 'o'
Hope this helps

Press the Menu key and tap New APN.
Select Name, enter O2 MMS Postpay and tap OK.
Select APN, enter wap.o2.co.uk and tap OK.
Enter the user name and password listed below. If no value is listed, leave the field blank.

Password: password
Select MMSC, enter http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 and tap OK.
Select MMS proxy, enter 193.113.200.195 and tap OK.
Select MMS port, enter 8080 and tap OK.
If available, select Authentication type then select PAP
