Interesting question, @Nc - You might find the answer in the Community Guide here:Guide: All you need to know about O2 Voicemail 901
But then again, maybe not - I found an answer here, and this should probably go into @MI5's great Guide:
https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly/O2-Voicemail/td-p/62373
"Messages can be stored for up to 30 days if you're a Pay Monthly customer and up to 17 days if you're a Pay & Go customer. [7 Sep 2009] "

Voicemails will auto delete after 7 days unless you save them to PC according to this thread.
https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Discussions-and-Feedback/Voicemail-messages/m-p/789271/highlight/true#... (post made by @MI5 in 2014)
However, I also read HERE that VM messages are auto deleted after 30 days (US article).
Bottom line, if you want to keep a VM you should save it to your PC.
