Vodafone Sure Signal problems

I have O2 broadband and have been happily using a Vodafone Sure Signal up until a few months ago when it stopped working.
I have tried forwarding ports etc. even though I hadn't when it worked previously (with upnp).
I have tried two different routers too.
Finally, I know the Sure Signal itself is OK as it works perfectly well when I've taken it to a friend's place.
So may be something is being blocked by the provider? ...although no other O2 customers seem to be affected.
Does anyone have any bright ideas?

Until Vodafone added the block of IP's Sky where using (starting 2.XXX.XXX.XXX) to their white list, many people where having the same issue.
Sky had apparently purchased new IP blocks from the US military and so Voda thought they where still US based. As the Sure Signal is only intended to work in the UK, Voda check where your IP is based before allowing the connection.
Find out your external IP address and get Vodafone to check it is on their Sure Signal IP white list.

I know this might sound like a daft question, but doesn't the Vodafone sure signal work for the O2 network or do you have your mobile on vodafone?

Hi guys,
I know this might sound like a daft question, but doesn't the Vodafone sure signal work for the O2 network or do you have your mobile on vodafone?

Sure Signal would only be for a mobile on Vodafone, but it should work with any Broadband provider, including O2.
