Very poor o2 signal Reception

Anonymous

Hi has anyone had any issues with reception. We have lost o2 reception several times in the last few weeks. Signal has been appalling.  Its bad enough with no 3g in our area but to have no signal is disgraceful. All the advice I get is to get the tugo app.  Is there an underlying agenda from o2 here.

Look here http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Self-help-guide-Is-the-network-down-for-me-or-ev... and here http://status.o2.co.uk/

It does seem some people are experiencing congestion issues at the moment too which I'm afraid you cannot do anything about

yes i have amazingly - esp as this issue has reoccurred several times over the last few weeks. System status says ok each time. Also spoken several times to them and funnily enough signal comes back briefly but always the same message use the new app which allows you to use your own wireless that I pay for to be able to use the phone I have a contract with o2 -

congestion!! I live in a rural location hence no 3g - can't imagine congestion of o2 cuatomers is an issue and if it is then upgrade the infrastucture!  I've used my phone abroad at major sporting events where thousands and thousands are on the network - no issues.  o2 are trying to cut back in the hope that I use my wireless network to be able to use the phone contract i have with them

Then I would suggest downloading the MYNETWORK App to report your masts and if anyone else on O2 in your area is having the same issues then ask them perhaps to do the same.

As a fellow O2 customer I appreciate your frustration.

Yep, I've had the same 'no service' or just 1 or 2 bars at best in my rural location. Coming to the end of my 24 month contract as well in November. 2G was, can be still impossible to use. Forget 3G in my area and I dont even hold any hope of recieving 4G.

At least TuGo is now getting better as before it was here, I was simply paying for a brick - iPhone 5 locked to O2 which i couldnt use. In towns etc its fine.

I've called Customer service, had the same excuses - mastr down, exchange iPhone 5, new sim, clean the sim, reboot iP5, atmospheric problems - you name it I have heard it but I have always had something given back to me as a 'sorry'.

Whether I stay or whether I go - im not sure its greener over there but one thing is for sure, you are not alone with poor reception.

Tu Go = v2.5.0.431 permanently Turned OFF

To add as a contract customer you can unlock your iPhone 5 free at any time by filling out this online form https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%...

I submit It makes sense to use a Network that provides adequate signal.

Tugo would be great except I am trying to use the app but they send a text message for you to activate it! Great as I'm trying to use it because I don't have a signal. Oh well another day being out of contact - will have to wait to go to somewhere where o2 are bothered to maintain a strong signal transmission for their customers.
