Texts.. How many words/letters/spaces/anything

How many words etc can you get into one text? Kind of misleading selling you 600 free texts right, but the phone not telling you how many texts it's taking.

Usually it's 160 characters right? So when i sent a huge text to the wife last night, im sure it took more than one text but the phone doesn't say...

Anyone know if it's different for the iPhone?

it does'nt seem to be supported yet for the iPhone. From what I can read from this and other forums it might be addressed by apple in the future

No, but send to multiple recipients is.

Why dont you just copy & paste it on to a new message?

You CAN forward a text from an iPhone!
Go to your text message & press edit (top right corner), highlight the text you want to send and press the forward button.
Even my mum can do that!
