Hi

I don't know if this has been discussed before, apologies in advance, but I was just wondering what in the opinion of others is currently the most reliable/best speed test app on the market. Also what is the worst they have experienced. I have used many over the past 2/3 months, and was wondering what others were using, i have used the below as a guide, interesting to know;

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.zwanoo.android.speedtest

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.broadbandspeedchecker

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rootmetrics

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sensorly.viewer

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.staircase3.opensignal

I've used a couple of those but I prefer the first one on your list, speedtest.net.

I always use speedtest too, but the most important thing is to always use the same one.
You will get variation by using different measuring devices so if you want to compare results with any repeatability accuracy just chose one and stick to it.

Also note each test will eat around 40-50mb of data allowance. :slight_smile:

That is correct for speedtest, but some apps use less.

Hi

I ran a speed test with Rootmetrics today which gave me a download speed of 54mbps and an upload speed of 17mbps on 4g (signal very strong -67dbm). The total of the data used was 71mbps but it took out approx 120mbps out of my data allowance, does anybody know why this has happened......It's a bit worrying.......
