And they are definitely on the increase.... either someone who claims to know I have Windows on my laptop
....and those who start a conversation by saying 'we are ringing about your PPI claim'. I think the volume of calls received by people nowadays just shows how easy it is for the 'scammers' to get your numbers (landline and mobile)

Even if you're ex-directory as I am. the auto-diallers will get you.

What shocked my husband yesterday was when he had a call on his mobile from a company talking about his so called PPI claim....
I have put mobile in bold because that phone is hardly ever used. ...(he was very reluctantly dragged into the world of smartphones...he was even worse than myself!)
In our house we have come to 'expect' them on the landline...but not on mobiles (incidentally I have never had ONE scam call on my mobile)
Yes I know it's probably only a matter of time.....

I've had a few of these scam calls on my mobile. I don't answer though if it is "uknown" caller or withheld number or private number, generally I don't answer anyway if I'm at work. I just let the phone ring until they give up. However I had a call yesterday though my phone didn't ring but I got a text alert to let me know I had a missed call. I have just received a voicemail also, it is a recorded message about PPI. Again, though, my phone didn't actually ring though I'm not bothered since I wouldn't have talked to them anyway! Honestly though these people are so annoying but I have managed to block one or two I think it will take a while for them to realise that I will never speak to them.
