I was charged £5.54 for ‘receiving’ and then ‘making’ a 12 second call to an unknown number 09037240111. How can this be? Is it worth complaining to O2 and demanding a refund? Thanks.

Definitely worth calling them
Be polite and explain the circumstances
A sympathetic customer service agent may well refund as a goodwill gesture (especially Christmas Day)
I would imagine there will be quite a wait on hold though....
