I have just been asked to complete a short survey when I finish using the O2 website.
I don't mind doing that, if it helps to make the website better.
However, I refuse to install a spyware toolbar to do this. If you want people to take part in surveys, let them fill in a simple html form.
I learned many years ago that as soon as you download this type of junk you then start getting bombarded with pop ups and God only knows what else rubbish.

The keynote software is not spyware or malware and uninstalls at end of survey.
I have used it a few times with no issues.

True Adam, but i'd also rather not have to download anything to my mba in order to help 02 with a survey, and then let it un install.
More often than not people will simply decline to help.

How can you be sure what it is doing or not doing while installed?
If large corporations and governments can be hacked into, then I'm pretty sure that Joe Average who just clicks "Accept" stands no chance. I have had to format my hard drive and start again a few years ago, exactly for this reason.

if keynote was dodgy my small busines version of symantec would block it .
I can understand peoples reluctance but if your own defences are up to date it should not cause any issues prevention is always better than cure.

Hi Tom, thanks for posting.
Have you used any survey programmes in the past that you thought were good or better?
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Toby

Ill happily vouch for the app O2 want you to use I've never had any issues with it. It deletes after use anyway.
I agree, I've used it a few times with no issues at all, it works a treat!

Hello Toby,
I have filled in surveys for various websites in the past, but don't ask me what their names were!
I know that usually you will get a form to fill in or a series of pages with tick boxes. It is very rare that anyone asks you to install a programme to complete their surveys.
I treat this with the same suspicion that I use when I am offered a "Free Toolbar Helper".
