This may help others?

Samsung J330 phones stopped sending SMS a week ago, by trial and error I fixed the problem.

 

In phone setting  networks/wifi etc. there is a  setting "lte/2G/3G Auto" change this to "2G/3G Auto", for some reason O2 has stopped this legacy option from sending SMS

As a matter of interest are you a PAYG customer or contract?

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
