Phone call offering 50% discount??

Had a call this morning claiming to be O2 offering me 50% discount on my bill for 3 months for loyalty.

was it a scam? 
I asked them to email me the details so I could check.  No email yet! 
I did not give any personal information.

It's a well known scam.
Block the number and do not follow any links.
Forward the scam text or number to 7726 - It's free.
