"Hey T***,

The giveaway was that it used 02 instead of O2. Can anyone help me confirm this?
Many thanks

New contract details now showing in My O2...luckily all remains ok with contact preferences. I will add here that when I did the upgrade through live chat yesterday...the advisor specifically asked me if I wanted to be contacted by third parties. I had to give a Yes/No answer....

We have been assured that O2 and trusted partners do not sell on our details.....but every Tom Dick and Harry have been calling us since our preferences were defaulted back to 'yes' some 6 months ago. I have had calls here in Thailand and have had to block numbers.
So....where are our names and mobile numbers being distributed from? We all have only one common factor. We have a contract with O2!

There's a phishing email from HMRC doing the rounds at the moment as well. If you receive an email from HMRC telling you that you have a tax refund due, or asking you to disclose personal or payment information, do not click on any link in the mail. Forward the email to: Phishing@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk
Suspicious texts from HMRC can be forwarded to 60559
