Received the following this morning.

We're extending our O2 Travel service. From 14 July 2016, you can now get all the minutes, texts and data you need in 30 countries outside Europe for £4.99 a day (£3.99 a day in Turkey). And we only charge you for the days you use it.

Find out more: http://s.o2.co.uk/K3bnSix2

Usage terms apply. To stop texts call 2220.

Imo, a backwards step with others offering feel at home style offers with better prices, but I'm sure this will appeal to some..

A reaction to Tesco's recent travel deal I assume, but as you say, not too competitive price wise.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I'm sure you wouldn't pay £5.00 a day either even if Thailand was included!

I wouldn't to be honest but it sure beats £6 a MB if you are simply having a week here. Seeing as I get 10GB for £8/month with a local sim I'm sure the cost to o2 is nothing like they charge us. Outrageous....oh a £1.50/min or part minute for calls made and received.  I suppose 40p a text is acceptable though....
