O2 roaming - speed test results

Thought I might start a thread where people can post their speed test results when roaming, given last summer's debacle. It's been great for me so far.

Was at Prague airport on 22 June 2018 and got 82Mbps up / 25 down on O2 CZ.

Now in the city centre of Gijón, Asturias, NW Spain and got this on Movistar.

Doing a tour around the coast into Galicia and then to Madrid so I'll post from other locations. Maybe others might join in?

I got badly sunburnt, which I'm feeling pretty foolish about. We'd had a few days of cloud and rain and I didn't pay enough attention to the sun on that beach with a gentle cool breeze!

Now in the centre of the completely beautiful Santiago de Compostela (a seriously lovely place in all respects) and I got this just now; again, a download speed I've never seen anything remotely approaching in the UK ...

Now in Vigo in the SW of Galicia not far from the Portuguese border, some still very respectable speeds that I've never seen in Brighton where I live:

Doing a naughty side trip to Braga in Portugal tomorrow, so if I'm not too distracted by an excessive intake of those amazing custard tarts / pasteis de nata(?) I'll try to remember to run a speed test there!

Now in Braga, Portugal's third largest city. Much slower speeds (3G) on the NOS network, but still very functional and a world away from the 0.01Mbps of Summer 2017.

I’m interested to hear if anyone has any roaming experience outside of the EU, now O2 have changed things.

Looks like Sky Tech team were testing speeds on local Sims in Finland recently, in case you're off to Helsinki:

Come Mid-August, O2 will be selling all handsets Unlocked (or so I read this morning)...
