We have identified a connectivity issue on our network which has affected both 2G and 3G service in parts of East London, North London and Kent. Customers in these areas may be experiencing difficulty in making or receiving mobile calls, texts or using data. Our Engineering team are working on the problem as a priority in order to resume full service as soon as possible.

My phone claimed it had full signal, but refused to send txts, and then i noticed 2g up and down a bit. Restarted, and all gone. Same on another phone which said full reception but couldn't call 4444. Restarted and says no service.

This update has just been posted:
The damage caused by the theft of cables and cards has been assessed and a loss inventory taken. Recovery work is now underway. Initial estimates predict a level of service availability on 2G and 3G networks by approximately 16:00.

The network will be down all day and we will receive no form of embursement or compensation for the time we havent been able to make work calls or check our e-mails. Ive been waiting for a call from a client i work for and an unable to receive it. I have now lost a days work because of this and yet o2 say its my fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So cable and cards are stolen and you guys want it all replacing within half and hour? Get real!
And if your business is important you would have made sure you had some back up arrangements for contacting customers.
