Both O2 and Tesco Mobile networks are down in the Plymouth area, totally unacceptable.

My friends and family are having the same problem we live in Norfolk, I agree this is not good enough.

And did you follow the advice given in the thread? Or use the status checker?

yes, I used the advice and also went into Tesco whom the sales adviser told me that I must be about the 100th customer to complain about 02. The network in Dereham is down and I have to wait 72 hours then return to store if still not receiving any signal!

Lousy service here in Lancashire - keep losing the signal, and get the 'service unavailable' message.
Yes, I've done everything asked of me - removing the battery and SIM card and waiting 15 mins before replacing them, rebooted the phone. O2 say there are no issues in the area. Yeah, right...

It sounds like there is something taking longer to fix, so you'll need to wait. When its fixed why not give Tesco a call and ask for some goodwill to cover the period it is out.
Hopefully you wont have to wait as long as we did when an obstinate land owner delayed a fix by over a week!

Hmm, well if you've tried fault finding and there are no issues in the area then I think that leaves two possibilities. Either your handset is faulty or someone has installed something causing interference.

My handset isn't at fault. Having been out to places today miles from home and getting a perfect signal, then returning home and getting 'no service', it is pretty obvious to me there IS an issue in the area.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'someone has installed something causing interference' - there's only me in the house :robotwink: More likely, O2 haven't even bothered investigating faults in the area.

If you don't understand something, that doesn't mean its not happenning and certainly doesn't mean you should make fun of it.
As you've dismissed my suggestions with your jokey comments and Smiley faces, I shall leave others to help you.

Oh heavens!! :womanindifferent: Actually, I disliked your dismissive comments to me, but was too polite to mention it. Lighten up, sunshine.

I don't understand why you want to be so unpleasant to someone who tried to help you. Have a look around the forum, there are lots of people like me who can give you advice and get things sorted. Its up to you whether you take it, but you could at least try to understand the advice and not make fun or call them sunshine.
