I'm wondering why I've just received a text message from O2, when I've been a customer for around 10mths, saying;

"Hi, it's O2. There's been an issue processing your request, we're working on fixing the issue. You can call or go online to process your request. For personal accounts: go to http://v.o2.co.uk/04B7T078 or call 202 and for Pay As You Go call 4445 free from your O2 mobile. For business accounts: go to http://v.o2.co.uk/E7N50916 contact your account manager or call 8002 free from your O2 mobile."

Anybody have any ideas what thos is about please?

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this

@Kazzz

The links point you to info on porting in a number to your account.

Have you requested to change your number?

Sounds a bit weird to me. Texting someone but don't know whether they are Contract, PAYG or Business?

'Processing your request'. Was there ever a request from the op? Doesn't sound like it.

They are genuine O2 links which do not ask for any info or identity, so not a scam.

Potentially sent in error or another glitch of the 360 account changeover, but no phising going on.

Definitely needs checking by O2 though in case someone is trying to take over the OP's account for nefarious means.

'In case someone is trying to take over the account for nefarious means'.

That doesn't fill me with confidence. 🙄
