New 500meg limit

OK, I'm a bit worried about this. I use my iphone all the time when I'm out and about, whether its the maps app or emails or comparing prices while shopping. I have to admit I have no idea what I actually use in a full month with 3g as opposed to wi-fi, but I know that 500meg doesn't *sound* like much, given the size of some webpages these days.

I've just turned off my wi-fi and reset my usage counters so I can see what I use over the next week or two to try and gauge my monthly usage, and hence decide if I'm going to have to change my phone/provider.

I'm just curious how much other users use in a month of browsing and such, and what they use it for. Answers below please.

No need for another pointless poll, this isn't affecting your existing contract.

Why not just post in one of the existing threads. Another pointless poll when there's so many on here already :womanindifferent:

When I found out about new tariffs, I too was worried and had no clue about my average data usage, 1st thing I did was ring o2 customer service and asked them to check, when they looked over the last 3 months, the largest usage came to 288mb. I work full time and use my phone at breaks, this is 3g data use, I browse the web, visit YouTube, use news apps and sometimes d/l apps. I would say I am an average user. I have wifi at home, so there's no need for 3g there, but I still would say I'm a typical customer, so with this in mind I'm just gonna see how things progress with the new iPhone on o2, they've given me no cause for complaint for the last 3 years.

The voice of sanity strikes again, O2 have said no more than 3% of customers would be affected by this, so I think we can ignore the hysteria. 😐

Yes but by the sounds of the post I think philbluefish may need monitoring, too much data being processed or too much worry!
