Ok so suddenly I'm unable to view my inbox and outbox for PMs received or sent.

What is going on and how can I now view them? As a reminder I am using a mobile - Galaxy S8+.

Help, please. Thanks

Related to PMs, (sorry to resurrect an old thread of yours, @Glory1!) how come in Full mode on a smartphone using Chrome, I can switch between Sent and Received Private Messages, viz

... but in Mobile view, I can only see my received PMs, if I go to Outbox, there's no switch back to Inbox?

Interesting oversight that I have ignored up until now, but which merits attention, @Martin-O2 or @EmilieT or @Marjo

Yes @pgn I agree with you but because I have a problem with using the forum emojis in mobile view in PMs, I reply to or send PMs in full view only. Then I can use the forum emojis without any problems. I only use mobile view now if I want to go through the various threads in Off Topic. Otherwise, I am always in full view.

That doesn't mean there isn't a problem @pgn but because I tend to stay in full view 98% of the time I can live with it. But that's just me.

Yes, @Glory1 :@I tend to flip between Mobile and Full views as well.

Sometimes I begin to answer a topic in Mobile, then have to Post it to switch to full view and edit it to add a picture, video or emoji - it is tedious in the extreme, but then the Full view is not as clean to scan down a topic as Mobile view.

Both views have their uses, which differ depending on view.

I actually think full view should be set as default. On the rare occasions I use my mobile to post on the forum, to get the best replication of my PC, it has to be in full view.

I agree @Cleoriff but it's a pain if you want to look at the various threads in Off Topic or Discussion and Feedback as the titles are all squeezed down the left side, almost impossible to read. So there are times when you need mobile view. And will continue to need it until Lithium does something about this anomaly.

As someone who only uses a phone, I wouldn't be happy with no option to switch between mobile and full view until that anomaly is, assuming it can be, addressed. If it can't then mobile and full view is a necessity.

I agree you should still have a choice @Glory1 , all I'm saying is currently default is mobile view and I've always thought full view should be the default setting.

Ah, sorry I misunderstood. On that, I agree the default should be full not mobile view. I'm always in full view except when I'm checking through the threads in Off Topic. So I'm in full view 98% of the time anyway.

Hey cheers  @pgn , I've just tried on Safari on my mobile and I can see the Outbox link when in my inbox, and then the Inbox link in its place when I'm in the Outbox. I'll see if I can replicate your issue with other browsers and we can check with the platform tech guys if it can be improved!

Edit: I can see it just fine on Chrome as well on my mobile. It's an iPhone - what's yours @pgn ? I can raise a support ticket...

Oh and cheers @Cleoriff and @Glory1 on the full view / mobile view differences and issues. It's something we're definitely aware of and have been collecting your feedback from various topics. If possible to do more improvements later on we'll definitely involve the community too including yourselves when the time comes. In the meantime, any bugs like this one in the PMs mobile view, please do keep reporting to us so we can raise it! thumbsup
