My O2 App on iPhone

I have downloaded the "My O2" app for iPhone. However when I try to login, after a few seconds of attempting to login it says:

"Could not retrieve data. Please try again later."

I've tried several times yesterday and today (01/01/2010 - 02/01/2010). Is anyone else here having problems or is it just me?

I'm asking because I have logged in to my O2 account via my laptop on www.02.co.uk with the same username and password successfully with no problems.

All I want to do is have the ability to check out my O2 Pay as you Go balance on my iPhone. Very very little indeed to ask and I'm surprised I even have to download anything to view this, let alone am having problems logging in.

Can anyone give me any help on this?

You don't have to download anything. In your contacts select >Show Balance (or dial *#10#)
You can also text the word Balance to 20202 to get the balance of any allowances or bolt-ons. You can also use My O2 on your handset at wap.o2.co.uk

Thanks for that!

Note for anyone reading this thread:

"Show w Balance" didn't initially appear as one of my contacts.

I had to manually import it into Contacts by doing the following:

Going to "Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and hitting "Import SIM Contacts"

It then appears under Contacts, then when you tap it, then the "mobile *#10#" box, it brings back the balance.

My o2 app has stopped working also, and i'm on pay monthly, was fine up to 2/01/2010.

You can send a blank text to 21202 to get your remaining minutes/texts
