Is it usual on this forum for mods to edit and remove posts without sending a message to the OP as to why?

I've noticed a number of my posts seem to have been hacked off the forum but not had an explanation for this....~??~??

Seems rather rude to me !!

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

they used to send pm's

You could send a pm to one of the site admins asking why you are not being told.

I thought that these new forums the communication was to be more open.

I have had posts disappear for no reason, and without any rudeness or criticism.

I think it's a software problem as it used to happen on the old forum too.

In the early days of the new forum the moderated posts were clearly marked with the name of the moderater rather than a number and the reason was clearly stated.

The latest posts just have the name of the moderater in most cases but the reason not given and certainly no email.

However, I have been sent PMs when I have flagged posts thanking me.

Presumably it's a different moderation contractor ?......it certainly appears that they are more relaxed as regards anything said about O2.
