Lithium platform issues?

Just wanted to know if anyone is having the same problem as me?

I use Gmail for this forum only. I use btinternet for any other emails.

Yesterday and the day before I realised some emails from this forum weren't coming into my inbox......and when they did they were hours after they had been sent.

Really annoying as 5 years ago when I joined this forum, I used bt internet. After a couple of years I realised BT didn't seem to be compatible with Lithium (emails stopped coming in and others were having the same problem)so I changed to Gmail. Had no problems at all till now.

As an example, when I logged on this morning there were 40 new emails from the forum in my inbox. These are just three of them

Note the time they came in. When I checked they were all sent yesterday from 12md onwards!

I have the same issue this morning. Up to now I have made 4 posts (from 6am) not one has arrived in my inbox, although some from yesterday are trickling in.

To test whether it was Gmail or the forum, I sent myself an email from my btinternet address to my gmail. It arrived in my inbox immediately. which definitely confirms it's a lithium problem.

I subscribe to a lot of topics on here and if I post on one, I get emails on that until people stop posting.

It's also annoying as I know some emails haven't arrived at all.

I also log on to the forum via the latest email I receive...so it's all damn frustrating really.

Just wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same problem?

Are you aware of this problem and if so, is anything being done to resolve it? Thanks in advance for any input you may be able to provide.

No I don't subscribe to mentions either @Cleoriff, I only get PM emails and a daily summary of mentions which is sent anytime after midnight but is always the first in my GMail account every morning.

I've stopped learning @Glory1 it hurts too much though I'm getting fairly efficient in forgetting things....

As for Lithium...

1) A type of medication

2) A platform for social media

3) A type of battery....

Lots of things called Lithium

The tablets work, so do the batteries. Sadly this forum platform doesn't !!

I think it all to do with the way you use the forum @jonsie

I turn PC on and go straight to emails.(BT Internet and Gmail)  Gmail is used for this forum only.

So I use emails to access forum. When they aren't coming in....or are 12hrs late its annoying.

It means if I want to see what's happening on any thread I have posted on, I have to log on.

If I'm busy I don't always do that.

It's not a third world problem.... but when I'm used to emails coming in immediately they are posted, it's damn annoying and obviously a fault of/with Lithium.

I can understand that @Cleoriff and if I used the community that way then I too would be annoyed. I can't be doing with getting scores of emails every day so I just log on when I want to. I've lost a lot of interest this past year and with things going on in my life and things that have happened I tend to log on at night time now and play catch up. Too much competition for me nowadays.

I'm the same as @Cleoriff, I turn my phone on and go straight to my emails. So having to constantly log into the forum to see what's happened in a thread I posted on wastes my time. But there it is, just another day in paradise 😊

Groundhog day today then.

The last 6 emails on this thread have yet to appear

In fact the one in my inbox this morning showing as unread was Here  On page 2 of a 4 page thread...although I have had others after it.

An update from me:
@Glory1 mentioned me at 8:32am yesterday (Thu) and the email came through at 20:09 last night.
@Cleoriff's mention at 9:56 came through at 22:17 and 10:46 at 01:01!
No emails since then (11:19 mention onwards)...

Morning all. I've had 3 emails this morning all from posts made early evening yesterday. And so it continues.

I'm awaiting a Waitrose delivery then it's back to bed for a few hours. Bye for now.
