I just read this interesting article from bitter wallet. TalkTalk are the first to follow governments proposed one fee for phone and broadband.

 

to me this seems like a good idea, no more hiding the line rental by discounting it for 6/12 months be sticking it to you later.

Definitely a good idea! No more hidden charges in there. it's just a pain, that without living in a cabled neighborhood, people still have to pay line rental for using broadband in this day and age

I'm on fibre with TalkTalk but still charged for m my landline that's not even plugged in lol.

I like this a lot. Most people have mobiles for calls so having to pay for a landline plan is a bit unfair. Cheers for sharing @Curr946
