Hope this is appropriate section for this post. If not perhaps one of the Mods would redirect it.
On 19 May I got a text supposedly from O2 entitled "The next big thing" It was a bout the arrival of 4g Iin my area. Yesterday I got another text supposedly from O2 asking "Did our last text float your boat? Please answer 5 questions and tell us what you think. If you don't want to take aprt text "NO" to 21330 in the next hour" I ignored this text. This morning I got another text asking for my reaction to the first text on scale of 1 (yawn) to 5 (jumping up and down). I started to reply but a message then flashed up that replying would alter my account or some such words so I deleted the text. Has anyone seen anything like this? Is it really from O2? Have they totally lost their marbles? or is is just me having an unusally bad day?

Yes this has been discussed before @Anonymous when o2 gets 4g in your area they send those texts out and also your account is 4g enabled for free.

Thanks - I had the 4G is coming text and we have updated you free of charge texts weeks ago. This was a new approach, and although I am usually quite happy to participate in surveys I have never had one that produced an indication of change in my account when I responded.
I think I have mentioned before in this community that I have tried in vain over many months to get information from O2 as to when 4G would be made available here and they either could not or would not divulge that secret. Why they choose such an idiotic way to announce it is so very annoying.

Hi @Anonymous
My opinion is that if it helps the network I don't mind spending a few minutes filling them out.
It's good to talk and discuss.
It may indeed be good to talk - but in the case of O2 it would be much better if they would occasionally try listening!!

Hi guys,
The short code is legitimate to confirm.
@Anonymous was the pop-up notification about potential charges? Some Android devices do this for short codes texts as a precaution. You can stop this via your settings menu. You can also stop these texts from arriving by replying with 'STOP'
I hope that clears things up and do let me know exactly what the notification says please!
