What criteria does a customer have to satisfy to become a "Platinum Customer"?  What are the benefits of being a precious metal Customer?  Why does a search for Platinum Customer result in just one hit -  a list of Customer Service contact numbers?

To better explain as I understand it ;

Previously typically depending on your bill spend an account holder could be out on platinum or gold Or silver.

These customers could upgrade earlier.

Hi Gerry

A similar thread.

http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/platinum-lost/td-p/236585

Edit ; I believe with o2's Fair Deal Policy both new and existing customers get the same deals now.

Thanks @Anonymous   - Another O2 mess methinks.  Why was that thread not identified when I searched for Platinum? (Rhetorical question!!)

I was just curious to know why the Customer Service Contact Opening Hours for Platinum Customers are shorter than for the rest of us plebs. Presumably it is/was because the PC contingent do not or did not have to hang on and on and on like mere ferrous oxide customers (sarcastic comment so no reply necessary.)

The more I see of this whole O2 web set up the more I have to wonder how it manages to remain in business at all.

I'm still confused on why the hours are different for business customers too !

Seems both types of account have less of a window to ring thorough on a Saturday !

I can remember the days of being a Platinum customer (it was based on monthly spend/number of accounts etc) but that's all long gone now........
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@MI5   I suppose it is good to know that we can all expect to be treated equally badly.   Sign of the times? Weird

Gerry, maybe you're complaining in the wrong way. Once it becomes accusative it will become much harder to get a satisfactory resolution, I know its easy these days to fire off an email or text or vent on here but there are people on the other end and they will respond better to a well constructed case.
