I am as slow to the party then @jonsie  as I was clueless.

However, it has to be remembered that I am also late to the world of smartphone technology....

Someone laughed at me not too long ago and said I was being stupid when I said this could and does happen as though it was some urban myth. I've seen people on the East Coast end up with roaming charges, it's amazing how far the signals can reach sometimes.
