Even though the regular forum members have not been red flagging spam posts, any spam that has appeared has been dealt with promptly.
Although it's early days, if this performance level continues then perhaps the next stage will be to reduce the possibility of potential spammers successfully registering a Profile.

This morning they took the forum down for maintenance and when it came back up its layout was re-designed.
Between 11:00am and 3:39pm there were 757 posts complaining of the new design.
By mid afternoon the forum was taken down again and came back at 4:45pm in an almost restored to original layout.
The forum manager posted :
huge apologies on behalf of all at DS for getting it wrong with the design changes.
We're the first to admit when we've gotten something wrong so, again, very sorry for not being able to jump in sooner.
Now compare that response to what we are experiencing on this forum.

BTW, should we look forward to the day when this forum changes and there's loads of post saying "bring back the old style"?

Then again DS forumites are more vocal than us lot AND the site is privately owned
Also they have extremely low levels of spam posts but they have had instances of malware hidden in the adverts.
I was just highlighting the speed of reaction to a forum problem whereas on here the problem has existed for months and there has been no real progress, just promises of changes to come.
