I have been called by 02046033582 and 02046033583 in conjunction with special offers from O2. Are these a genuine O2 numbers? The caller claims they are from O2 but when I asked them the name of O2 Chief Exec they did not know. So I ended the call.

How am I supposed to distinguish what are genuine O2 calls and what are scam?

@OakleyOwl If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is a scam. If you're being offered a big discount it definitely is a scam. If they want you to change your password or send them a code, it's 110% a scam.
Block the number and report it free to 7726.

Put simply, if they call you don't trust anything @OakleyOwl

Number spoofing is where a caller can pretend to be calling from any other number. Due to this, unless you make the call to a number you know/trust, do NOT give them any personal information or details.

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
