Hi Guys.  BEWARE !  Just got an apparently HOAX text from a mobile number apparently pretending to be O2.  It says:

[O2]: Payment for your latest bill could not be processed by your bank.  Please update your billing information via: <link removed>

O2 is .co.uk, not .uk.

I don't think O2 contact customers from a mobile number.

I checked my account, and there is no problem with payment.

If you click on one of these suspicious texts, or answer them, they immediately have a 'live contact' with your phone, and could steal all your contact details and bank or other account details.  If you answer, they will want to get your financial details through their questions.  It's happened to me!

Therefore just DELETE such messages immediately without opening them.

Thanks for reading this.

Further info: The mobile number used to send this apparent hoax text was:  +44 7544 608932.

Does anyone recognise this?

It's a well known scam that's been doing the rounds, loads of threads on here about it. Please edit your post to remove the link so that no one clicks on it.
