Can anyone explain why O2 can send alerts to tell you you are about to go over your data limit, but do not issue warnings for going over your minutes allowance?

I can't believe that anyone needs their hands holding to that extent, if you're going to have a contract you should be able to control your usage with the apps and online help from MyO2, or by texting 21202 at any time.

It's something they have never done but shouldn't be too difficult to implement.
I suppose they are happy that customers are responsible and mature enough to keep a check via the My O2 phone app.
