Who is using giffgaff instead of O2 and why?

The only reason to use an MVNO would presumably be a question of cheaper tariffs or more for your money

giffgaff don't have a network to support hence cheaper tariffs

Like any business, to make money.

Low overheads and a portion of the saving is passed on to the customer.

GiffGaff was originally a Telefonica experiment to see if a Self Support, web based MVNO would work, and then it exploded and Telefonica have kept it running since..

o2 did this with the Genie brand as well
