I notice EE announced a fixed line fibre product yesterday.
"Meanwhile EE’s additional surprise is the announcement of a new superfast fixed line “fibre” broadband service, which will reach more than 11 million homes and businesses by the end of this year and 66% of UK by the end of 2014."
And it looks like Orange broadband will be re-branded as EE.
Seems like O2 are being left behind in both mobile and broadband markets. If they're serious then BE/O2 had better hurry up with their fibre offering otherwise it's Division IV.

O2 told me the other week they wouldnt be offering a fibre product until after the 4G auction, maybe now after the EE debarcle O2 might change there mind.
EE have there 4G rolling out & I think they should be blocked from bidding next year along with 3 that piggy backs the EE network.
O2 fibre will be a piggy backed BT package.

O2 really need to pull there finger out with the fibre home broadband.
O2 have great customer service on the odd occasion you do have to contact them & great package prices, O2 just seem to lag behind other suppliers.
The exchange im on is already FTTC & the junction box im connected to 150 meters away from my property is also fibre ready, just needs O2 to launch fibre products.

I'm sure there are other options. Virgin Media for example.

I do not since my exchange was never dsl enabled until after ntl released cable modem access via their stb's (had it ever since) although it has at least been unbundled now unlike the exchange people living a few houses down from me go to so they still get 512kbps.
