Just wondering how many customers who claimed they were leaving O2 because of the price increase might be affected by this?

Nope not me......
Lets hope when Uk Lte/4g is widely available the competition between Networks drives these tariff's down !
Personally im not overly impressed with the increased speed although ive only had a play with the ee's network, and may nt have been in an overly strong signal area !
The other issue is the extra strain on battery life !
Suppose its the 3g over 2g situation years ago.

I am shocked to my very core! This is an outrage! How dare a competitor raise their prices by more than we did!!! How very dare they....
Typical EE - wanting the most complaints, the most flawed 4G offering, now the highest mid-term price raise! Will the madness never cease???
