Disgusting customer services

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have now tried on 10 separate occasions to get through to close my account and move my number over.

This has been at diferent times everyday for the past 5 days. On one of the occasions, I did get through I was promised I would get a call back and this has still not happened. The launch of a new iphone is a complete load of ****. I work in business and if i told my customers "sorry we are to busy to speak to you" I would have no customers. It's an absolute disgrace...fancy that a new iphone comes out....you may get busy? Its called resource planning...its what well-run businesses do. Funnily enough the chap who pormised to call back said that "its like this every time we have an iphone launch" - so there you go, no suprise eh? How about this for a mad idea....have a dedicated number for saddo new iphone customers and one for the tens of thousand of other customers who still pay you money? Profiteering at its worst.

O2 you are a disgrace

Hi Fordy

If you send a private message to Toby who is an o2 Site Employee he will do his best to sort you out.

The store I believe won't be able to close your account. They would I suppose let you use their store phone

Or you could send your cancellation in writing preferably by recorded post.

This is typical of O2 service standards

Had virtually no coverage today - keep having to get in my car and drive about a mile away to check for messages etc.

Had sagas with getting thru' to them and being on hold for ages etc.

This is what their website coverage checker says as of 14.25:

Sorry we're currently investigating reports that a phone mast in this area isn't working.
This means you might experience problems making calls, using the internet, or sending / receiving emails in this area.
Updated 13:00 (refreshed hourly). Recent faults might not show yet.

  • Normal coverage for Voice, text and email (2G)
Making calls, sending texts, using email on your phone.
    Good indoors and outdoors.

    So it's refreshed hourly is it? 13.00 - it's 14.26  now.

I'm done with them - catalogue of epic failures at every level from coverage right down to apathetic, poorly trained customer service staff.

Vodafone here I come - 14 November is my O2 contract end date.... 41 days - 10 hours and a few minutes...roll on!

You know from the service status page there is a mast problem near where you live, so they will be working on it.

I didn't reply as I guessed it was rhetorical.......?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
