Can't receive calls from a select few

hi. I can't receive calls from a few friends but I can call them and send and receive texts from them, can FaceTime too. Having researched others problems, it seems likely it is something to do with my number not porting 100% correctly (from virgin). However, O2 will have none of this. They even advised that all the friends who can't contact me should contact their providers as the problem is theirs...seriously. This has been going on for ages. I've been to the O2 shop, spoken to them on the 'phone and live chatted with several 'gurus' and have gotten nowhere. They've sent me a new sim, no difference. HELP

3-4 months is a crazy amount of time but it seems strange to only affect certain numbers. Are the senders using iphones?

I asked them to check the port was 100% successful and they said it was. I will ask them to request the files be sent again. Apparently, they are getting back to me tomorrow but they said that yesterday and the day before that and the day before that   Argghhh 😩
