Calls from 08458630287

Since I got my iphone I have been getting several calls a day from08458630287. When I answer - nothing just silence and then a disconnect. I rang back I the message says thatnks for calling O2 sorry we missed you and will try again. Is this O2? Does anyone know what its about? Its really beginning to annoy me.

Canwefixit - all I can say is that you must have been lucky that you managed to get them on the phone - instead of just nobody there when you answer the calls(presumably from automatic dialling), or just a voice message when you call the number back which is unhelpful - it just tells you to call o2 from your phone and when you do there is nobody at o2 that can manage to put you through to this person who is going to 'welcome' you and thus assure you that the calls will stop. I don't think it is at all friendly to keep on and on ringing a phone over the weekend but not enable the person whose phone it is to get you to stop.
My problem was that no-one in o2 could stop these calls nor tell me how many more times my phone would ring.
I did give o2 every possibility to solve this for me by using their web online chat, calling o2 from my phone as instructed by the message and going into their shop. The o2 shop couldn't get a reply from the number - just the automated message, so they weren't able to get through to anyone who could stop the calls either. All that wasted a lot of my time.

i've only just started on simplicity 300 this week and I am being hounded by this 08458630287 number. I haven't even given this number out to anyone. Please can you remove my number from your marketing hit list. thanks
