Bring charged for texts on a PAYG phone!

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have an iPhone 4s and usually I pay £10 to top up the PAYG which then gives me 300 texts. Once I've used this allowance it starts to charge me. However Saturday I topped up and it's charging me per text, £7 gone in two days! Mobile data is off, 3G is off - next step is the O2 shop unless someone has an idea why this is happening.
Thank you

The only way would be that you are in advance of your anniversary date.

Thank you everyone for the useful info. I had topped up on the anniversary date, however I have since found out there was a 'glitch' with the confirmation text informing me of the top up.
