Blackberry Unlimited Data Roaming

I am very frustrated with O2 at the moment.

From when I made my first Blackberry contract three years ago up until today I had what was called Blackberry Unlimited Data Roaming in which I was given one gigabyte of roaming data each month for £23.50. This worked out to around 2 p a megabyte.

Today I found out by a text message that O2 had cancelled this on my account and now I pay around £6.50 a megabyte capped at £40 I am a very heavy Blackberry user and this is absurd.

I am currently roaming and have already gone over my limit of 6.5 megabytes.

I spoke to O2 and they have told me that they are no longer offering the bolt on and that was final.

Does any one have any suggestions as to what I should do?

Thank you,

A gig of roaming for £23.50 sounds like an incredible deal; given what they charge for it now, I can see why they'd pull the plug on it.

Are you under a fixed-period contract at the moment or not? If so, I'd try and argue that it's a material change to the contract.

However, you're not going to be able to find a comparable price from any operator...

Hi

I just found this out aswell today , I spend a lot off time working abroad and I am due away this week for some months , I always switch the £23.50 bolt on before I go . Today o2 told me they no longer do it . without this bolt on charges will be astronomical I once forgot to switch it on for 1 week and my bill was over £150 just for receiving some emails . all blackberry data goes through blackberries own servers in each country so I dont see why o2 need to try and cream off us , I might as well throw my blackberry in the bucket as I am not paying thousands of pounds just to use my blackberry abroad , as soon as my contract is up I am off to another network .

Yet something else O2 have done to suck as a network.

1st there was removing MMS from your allowance
2nd there was removing texts from abroad
3rd there was removing unlimited data
and now this!.

I considered joining O2 about 2 months ago when I was after a blackberry and am so glad i decided against now!. Not only does their 3G coverage suck but they are trying everything possible to turn around all the hard work they did to become the best.

If anyone wants international BlackBerry use, T-Mobile have a 'BlackBerry World Booster' for £15.00 which works worldwide giving you BB use and browsing now too.
