£50 voucher

I've received my upgrade phone which is a samsung wave 723. With this phone I qualify for a £50 voucher to use in certain shops. To receive my voucher I had to get a code from a scratch card that came in the box with the phone. Trouble is I didn't receive a scratch card. I've rung o2 services & been told I will have to send the phone in it's box back to them & wait to receive the whole package complete with scratch card. Even the guy on the phone agreed it was a daft way to handle this. Why can't they just post me another card? I'm certain I didn't receive one as I save everything I receive packaging wise for the duration of the contract. Surely they have a record of the code issued to me originally so they can send out a voucher so all they have to do is cancel this code.

I think its because anything that comes in the box is from the phone manufacturer, not o2. They cant be expeced to payout on somebody elses promotion.
However, could you contact samsung directly perhaps with the imei of your phone? I woud think they keep records for promos?

Thanx. I've just had another look on the o2 website and it looks like their promotion unless most manufacturers are involved. When I rang up all the systems were down so may give it another go to find out for sure.

If it was an o2 promo it would not be in the box as the manufacturer seals it. Thats what i was referring to in my last post. The network cannot put anything into the box. Do you still have the bag it was delivered in? Voucher could still be in that cos in my old cs days, whenever someone called in to complain there was no sim included in the box for their new phone, it always turned out to still be in the bag.

I haven't received a voucher (scratch card) either and when i phoned 02 the person i got knew nothing about it, good start. I was assured when i upgraded it would come with the phone, today i have been told it will be posted within 30 days. The website says i need my scratch card. Annoying!

I haven't received my voucher either. It wasn't in the box. I rang up O2 and they told me to email the promotion company but they have not replied. I rang O2 again and the guy on the phone has no idea what the voucher is!

That's because cs are not told about promotions as they're not supposed to have anything to do with them, if only they were done properly.
Like I said before though, there cannot have been anything in the box, there never can be anything in the box except what the phone manufacturer puts there, the have a security seal on them. Have you checked the packaging the box was in?

They are told about them, it's just if that person bothers to listen or read their email updates.
The phone will more than likely had to have been sent back down to there simply being no way to order just the voucher on it's own.

I ordered the LG Optimus with the £50 voucher offer, no sign of a card with a scratch panel or anything mentioning the offer in the bag it was delivered.
Emailed the promotions department and have spent the last week banging my head against a brick wall trying to explain that i can't enter a code on the website because i haven't got a code to enter.
Makes you wonder whether it actually exists or is just a hoax to get the punters in. Smiley Mad

Hi guys
Just to let you know that when you upgrade you are sent out your handset and then within 5 days of receiving your handset you are sent a text message with a unique code on it and a website u need to visit.
go to the website and then enter your unique code and then your name and address details and your mobile number etc. and then within 14 days after that you will get your voucher sent out in the post.
theres no such thing as a scrathcard unless its part of a manufacturer incentive and this is only with the samsung handsets but you still get the code anyway.
