Well everyone.

ive done the browsing the Terms and look what has just been put in

8.3 The 4G package allows you to access our 4G services in the UK and, where available, in our Europe Zone (excluding the UK), provided that if you’re on a data-only (Mobile Broadband) tariff, data can only be used in the UK.

So it looks like 4G is coming to o2 but to EU destinations only.  There is also a mention that you can use all you Data on g, edge, 3G and 4G and they won't stop you using it how you want.

It it does say that if you constantly abuse it they can impose restrictions, throttle or restrict you and or remove the service all together.

it says at the top for new customers from 15th June.  But surely they will allow everyone to use 4G?

I would say it's early days but really!.... they have had a long time to sort out the new legislation and to fully inform their customers. As ever, we have to rely on the experience of fellow customers.

Will they still be throttling 4G to a unusable limit like they do now?

They say not, but that's not what we are hearing at the moment.

From seeing comments on twitter and people abroad. There is still lots of complaints after 15th June about poor speeds and only been on 3G. So no idea what's happening.

I'm of to Ireland in less than 25 days so will do some testing there on all networks and also taking a o2 PAYG too t see if there is a difference.

Something has to happen as o2 is poor.

I took a Tesco PAYG sim to EU last year when they offered free data. I connected at 3G speeds in Ireland, France and Spain. Not one issue. It's was super fast and I got the fastest speed the network offered in the area on 3G. So Tesco can do it and they are 50% owned. So why can't o2?

Answers on a postcard to .......
