poor service south of lancaster

Seen this annually on this board but does anyone know why the mast South of Lancaster near the M6 is failing

The bad reception is a regular feature in south lancaster due to continued problems with the Forton mast which dont seem to get resolved -anyone know anymore

If none of this helps you could ring customer services and ask though they rarely give out info on network/mast issues and when they are expected to be resolved

Hey thanks and each time yes I do - It always says the service is acceptable indoors and outdoors but its a noticeable reduction in service that suddenly returns to good - I did speak to someone at 02 who suggested there was a fault on the mast but would give no more detail

This is often why they dont give out information.Sometimes it's access to the mast that creates a problem. If it's on land... they need permission to get to it.  If they have a slow response to the request this will take time..

They will never give out any details of the failure or a time frame for fixing the issue.
If it's a constantly recurring issue it may not even be the mast and could be the backhaul system connecting mast to network, but it's all assumption and guesswork.
