will a 3G or 4G work in 2G or whatever. My appologies if this

a realy dumb question but can quite get my head around

this subject. I am thinking of getting a 3G phone, but I live in

a pretty rural area where you are lucky to get 2G.

2g would be fine for calls and texts....
I've given up on 3g and just use WiFi now

To be honest @MI5 I find in more and more places o2 3g signal is there but capacity isn't.

I also find o2 4g severely lacking across the country even though they claim 50% coverage.

I am counting down the days. ..
