If the numbers are scam numbers you can get your money back and the 0845 one has been blocked http://www.o2.co.uk/help/account-and-billing/missed-calls-from-0845-and-0843-numbers
Other premium rate scams you can find advise on the regulator's website phonepayplus
As for documentation normally you need to be on the electrol register take bills etc to prove address etc. It will depend on your credit rating .

First I'd heard of it @adamtemp64. If the OP is purchasing a sim only tariff, why is that considered a bolt-on? It's a recently new offer, isn't it? An 0845 scam could happen on any network, couldn't it? Are the ones you linked to particular to O2 only?

I've been a contract customer for 15 years and never been scammed. Don't be put off by the infrequ6complaints on here. Just don't click on Facebook links and keep a check on My O2 and you won't have a problem. IPhone customers have had problems with the default data being added as a BB bolt on but it's a simple phone call to change.
