2.3 Update for Sony Xperia x10

So the mystery surrounding the android update 2.3 trundles on. Most if not all other U.K carriers have now released this to their PAYING CUSTOMERS.
I have read many posts from the various threads and as with the 2.1 update its an absolute shambles with so many lies and misdirection from Gurus, admin and customer support.
O2 you should be ashamed of yourselves! I,and I guess many other PAYING CUSTOMERS will feel it only reasonable to consider another provider at our next phone upgrade after all if you don't want us I am sure someone else will.
As a telecoms company who's business communication you certainly lack big time in the communication side of things.
I do not expect O2 will lose much sleep over their PAYING CUSTOMERS feeling let down and unhappy because these PAYING CUSTOMERS are not i-Phone PAYING CUSTOMERS and therefore are so far down the list of priorities they may as well be invisible and mute.
I have been a LOYAL PAYING O2 CUSTOMER for a considerable number of years but I can honestly say when this contract is complete I shall be offering my custom elsewhere.

Abs, if that if that is indeed true, then why does nobody at o2 agree on or have any information about the update? Twitter/Guru/CC/Director himself all gave different information and or didn't know the update even existed.

"We want the software to give our customers the best possible experience"
interpret as: Please give us more time to p*** you off and add all our cr***y bloatware.

@Abs
Thanks for your reply but I just simply refuse to believe it takes a month and a half and counting for you to "give the customer best possible experience"
What would that be exactly other than adding O2's bloatware that we all strive to delete.
Also why would SE release the update to it's unbranded customers that would need any tweaking to improve it??
Put plain and simple it's O2 neglecting customers that own anything other than O2's beloved iPhone I'm afraid.
I look forward to hearing your replies.
Regards.

Abs,
Why is it that O2 cannot even give us an estimate of when the update will be ready, after all you have dealt with these updates before?
Why can't a customer service operation such as yours have so many different stories over this? Why is there no official statement to be read out so as to stop O2 looking foolish?
As for the 'we are working with Sony Ericsson', it is fact that once Sony have perfected the updates they farm them out to the providers and that is the end of that, the providers tweak ( for that read add bloatware )it as they wish then give it to their customers.
You would be quick to respond if the likes of Watchdog were hounding you.
