Funny how decisions are made for you.
I use a mobile dongle at my workshop for my internet and would consider myself a moderately heavy user spending on average £30+ a month.
The other week I was in my local Poundland and by the checkout was a pile of PAYG sims from 3 with the boast "top up by £15 a month and get all you can eat data".
I put it in my pocket and threw it next to my pc and instantly forgot it as I knew it would require another phone as I'm on vodafone, so, thought nothing would come of it and it would sit there until it eventually found its way to the bin.
Just prior to and the reason for this post is I ran out of data earlier and upon topping up and getting the expected 'double your data' on the third top up I found I had to register again.
To me this means I've just been cheated out of £15 by o2 as I'd previously registered, previously received the 'free' data.
I shall now be going on ebay to find a cheap old mobile I can use with my 3 sim and use as a wifi hotspot.
So sorry o2, you've just lost a good customer
