Visual voicemail bombarding texts

I am being bombarded with texts from O2 saying
"Sorry, your number doesn't support Visual Voicemail, so we can't set it up yet. Please go to www.o2.co.uk/help and search on voicemail for help."
It started with a single text on my android pixel 2 and now I've had about 20 or 30 after moving to the 4a5g yesterday and the same amount this morning! How do I make it stop?

Sounds like a system glitch.

I know O2 are upgrading the voicemail system so may be related to that.

Try turning voicemail off and on and see if it helps.
